Kennedy Agyapong, an NPP flagbearer hopeful and also a business tycoon has disclosed that the Akuffo-Addo led government has impede the smooth running of his business.
According to the lawmaker, his business has not gone through harassments under any government like the NPP government.
The Assin Central MP hinted that he will not be intimidated by the attempts by the government to cripple his business.
In an interview monitored by 1Family Radio on Sompa TV, the flagbearer hopeful indicated he has been notified by some of his employees that the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has issued a letter that they will start checking the quantity of fish he sells on a daily basis.
“Let me emphatically state that I will not be frightened by this. They can not use the system to intimidate me, it won’t work,’’ he noted.
He noted “it saddens my heart to say this but my business was operating smoothly when Rawlings was the president. I opened businesses when Kuffour, Atta Mills and Mahama were presidents and I didn’t experience such harassments like this.’’
“I have never been subjected to such harassments and intimidation as under the Akuffo-Addo administration,’’ he stated. He further added that other businessmen can attest to this fact.
“This is the harassments am going through to set up business for Ghanaians,” he lamented.
