Pascaline Edwards, a Ghanaian diva actress has disclosed that the movie industry doesn’t pay as some people claim.

According to her anyone who says you can make fortune from acting does not really understand what they are saying.

Speaking in an interview on Onua FM monitored by 1Family Radio, the actress stated that the money made from the movie industry alone is not enough to meet some basic life necessities.

She added that acting can only hurl you into stardom but it will not provide you with needed assets to build a house of your own. “anyone that says amassed wealth from the movie industry is just telling lies,” she noted.

Pascaline added that the movie industry gives you a brand and it might help you secure some brand ambassadorial deals which can enable you make some extra cash but the movie industry itself is not lucrative.

The award-winning actress advised the youth who desires to venture into acting not to depend entirely on the income of the movie industry. She urged them to get side hustle aside their acting career.

Citing herself as an example, she hinted that GBC still owes her GH¢5000 old currency. She therefore urges the upcoming actors to get a lucrative job aside acting because acting is a hand to mouth job.
