The president of the republic of Ghana, his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is scheduled to appear before parliament on Wednesday, 8th of March, 2023.
He is expected to address the nation ( State of the Nation’s Address) in accordance with article 67 of the 1992 constitution of Ghana.
According to this article, the president is obliged to deliver a speech on the State of the Nation to Parliament at the beginning and dissolution of each parliament session.
Monitoring a submission by the speaker of parliament, it was indicated that the meeting which was supposed to come off earlier had to be postponed due to some reasons.
He furthered that after some discussions with the president, he has agreed to deliver on the State of the Nation Address on March 8,2023.
The address seeks to accentuate on the objectives of the government for the year and also to how the government intends on tackling the finances of the country.
