Ex-president John Dramani Mahama has disclosed that they will only recruit graduates who are very good in mathematics in the 2024 general elections.

Speaking to some delegates of the party in Ketu North on March 3, 2023, monitored by 1Family Radio, the former president indicated that times have changed and hence the need to change their way of recruiting polling agents.

He furthered that polling agents are going to recruited base on their intelligence in arithmetic and how fast they are with calculations and not who has served the longest in party. “It is about understanding numbers and calculations,” he noted.

According to him, anybody that is not good in arithmetic is not needed at the polling station because they need someone who is very vigilant. He added that the party needs an agent who will ensure that the number of ballot papers counted tally with the figure on the biometric machine to prevent rigging of results.

John Mahama asserted that any executive or chairman who is not good in arithmetic can bring their children who are in the universities and training colleges for them to be trained in order to do the job for them during the elections.

“Vigilance is the only way to win the 2024 general elections,” he noted.
