I almost lost my life in Egypt – Bobby Short 

I decided to come back to Ghana to save my life.

Joe Tagoe, a former player of Hearts of Oak also known as Bobby Short has narrated how he almost lost his life in Egypt.

Joe Tagoe hinted that he got injured when he was a player for the Hearts of Oak club which prevented in him from playing for some time.

Speaking in an interview with Dan Kwaku Yeboah which was monitored by 1Family Radio, the former player indicated he had to reduce his age after his injury to attract clubs to buy to him.

He furthered that the parliamentary candidate for Odododiodio, Nii Lante Bannerman offered to help him therefore he began training again and after some time he travelled to Egypt where he reduced his age to twenty-one.

Bobby Short indicated that the coach who believed his age because of his height made him go through rigorous training with the under 20 players which almost cost him his life.

The former player noted that nobody can cheat nature because he almost lost his life training with these young players. “The manner in which the boys were training, I realized that nobody can cheat nature and I might lose my life because of money,” he noted. 

He later decided to come back to Ghana to save his life.
