The executives of the Abosey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association have refuted the claims that they urged former President John Dramani Mahama to contest for the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to the executives, it was a group of unionists who called on Mahama to contest for the flagbearer of the party and not the Abbosey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association.
“It was some people from Abossey Okai who decided to join the group to meet the former President,” a statement release sighted by 1Family Radio indicated. This statement was released on February 22,2023.
The statement disclosed that Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association is a non-political association and will not embark on any political exercise.
The statement which was signed by Clement Boateng and Siaw Ampadu, the co-chairmen of the association mentioned that the office of the association is open to all political entity which is the reason why all the political parties crowd their office during elections.
The association assured that they will engage with every political party in government to implement policies that will benefit their business.
