The camp of Alan Kyerematen, one of the New Patriotic Party flagbearer hopeful has refuted the claims that Alan had committed treason by admitting to the economic challenges of the country.
During one of Alan’s campaign tour in Sefwi Wiawso, he disclosed that it will be difficult for the ruling party to win the 2024 presidential elections because of the economic challenges. He noted that government is working diligently but the economic mess has made it difficult to campaign based on the achievements of the party.
However, some executive members of the party think Alan has betrayed the NPP in admitting the economic hardships of the country as part of his campaign messages.
The camp of Alan in a statement release stated that admitting to the economic problems of the country in his campaign messages is just an affirmation of his personality and integrity and not say that the NPP has disappointed the citizens.
According to the Project 24 group, the allegations that Alan has betrayed the NPP party is only a propaganda to incite hatred in the people towards him. They added that if Alan has betrayed the party in admitting the country’s economic hardship then every other member of the party who has also admitted that the country is in dire times have also betrayed the party.
The group warned that if there is no evidence or rule that indicates that Alan has betrayed the party by his statements, then the allegations being levelled against him must come to an end.
In the statement, it was disclosed that Alan has been the most diligent minister of trade in the history of this country. Considering his role in the establishment of the African Continental Free Trade Area and other factories across the country.
The camp of Alan therefore calls on all his supporters to rubbish any propaganda aim at destroying Alan’s reputation.
