Ernest Owusu Bempah, the deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has indicated that the party will definitely win the 2024 presidential elections.

According to him, the NPP government has handled the economy very well despite the current economic hardship in the country. He promised that the NPP government will address this mess which was caused by external factors like the COVID-19 and the Russia-Ukraine war.

“Under the leadership of the NPP government, the economy was moving at a growth rate of 8% before the outbreak of COVID 19. However, during the leadership of the Mahama government, the growth rate of the economy was at 3%,” he quoted during an interview with journalists in Accra on February 15, 2023.

Bempah furthered that despite the challenges in the country, children are going to school for free and good roads are being constructed.

“Imagine what would have become of Ghana if this economic mess happened under the Mahama administration,” Bempah stated. According to him, Ghana would have been in extreme poverty and citizen will be unable to afford three square meals a day.

He furthered that the NDC was in power for eight years when there were no challenges and yet they couldn’t perform.

“As a political party, we trust that all this mess will end before the 2024 elections and they will definitely break the 8 mantra by winning the upcoming presidential elections.
