Denning Edem Hotor, a Ghanaian rapper and the boss of the Volta Regime Music Group (VRMG) popularly known as Edem has lambasted an entertainment pundit for a statement he made about him.
Few days ago, the 65th Grammy awards was held in los Angeles. Ghanaian artistes like Stonebwoy, Kidi and Edem were present at the event.
Derrick Maan, an entertainment pundit in an interview with Sammy Baah Flex questioned the purpose of Edem’s appearance at the Grammy Awards.
According to Derrick, Stonebwoy and Kidi attended the event in order to obtain features and also attract some respect for the country. “Edem? Edem cannot get a feature at the Grammys”, he hinted.
He added that no international artiste would want to feature Edem because his standard doesn’t match the feature he wants therefore he shouldn’t have gone to the event.
Reacting to this, Edem posted the video of Derick on his Instagram page and lashed out at him for the comment he made.
According to Edem, Derick is suffering from inferiority complex and he has no ambition in life. He furthered that Derick lacks knowledge in regards to what the global stage looks for and therefore he follows what a group of people approve as the standard.
“I am a million times more talented than your favorite”, Edem stated. He added that some pundits have foolish mentality.
Other Ghanaian artistes like kaywa, Sonnie Badu and Epixode have defended Edem by also lashing out on Derrick.
