The senior pastor and founder of The Alabaster International Ministry, Prophet Kofi Oduro has cautioned social media trolls to quit from the habit of creating unnecessary content from churches in Ghana with regards to what they do with their offertories.
During one of his sermons recently, Prophet Oduro announced that taking into consideration the good things pastors do for some church members and the entire public, it is unfair for anybody to tag them as greedy and money-making individuals.
Pastor Elvis Agyeman, noted for his online prayer session “Alpha Hour” has been subjected to intense abuse by netizens after a picture of some of his church workers counting money went viral after December 31. Some critics accused him of being a selfish man who enriches himself at the expense of his naïve church members.
Reacting to this accusation, Prophet Oduro stated that nobody has the right to ask men of God the purpose of offertory. This is because they have not asked any blogger the amount they make or how much YouTube pays them when they publish their rubbish. The prophet noted that during the Watch Night service on December 31, some members paid offertory wholeheartedly and nobody has the audacity to question them about how they get their money. “Have you misplaced your money’’ he asked.
The prophet also explained the outcome of rebelling against God and the church. It amazes him why bloggers and YouTubers are so interested in the matters of the church. He stated that it’s sickling the rate at which Ghanaians are quick to criticize their fellow brother.
Prophet Oduro warned that he will call the God of the Bible to eliminate anyone that brings their madness into the church. “Let’s pray for this country, we are sick,’’ he stated.
